Do I need planning permission
In most cases no. We adhere to government guidelines to keep most garden rooms within permitted development rights. This means your garden rooms will have the same restrictions as a shed, greenhouse or pergola.
However if a Garden room is within 2m from a boundary and over 2.5m in height planning permission is required. The same applies for any garden room over 2m from a boundary if its over 4m dual pitch or 3m on single pitch.
Building regs or building regs exemption can also be required if the room is used as a dwelling, over 30m2 or over 15m2 and within 1m of the boundary.
Planning permission and building regs are a service we can supply as part of our package.
