Garden room specifications

Below is a typical garden room with it’s features. All our rooms are bespoke to our customers needs and will vary. We can discuss any ideas or offer alternatives during a free site survey.

External

Ground screws are generally used on most garden offices. They have a low to no environmental impact, low cost and are quick to install. HGR are approved installers of RADIX ground screws

Hardiplank cladding on the main elevations which provide a clean low maintenance but modern look. Metal cladding on the boundaries for a no maintenance and low cost

Minimum of 100mm insulation within the walls, roof and ceiling to reduce the heat transfer in the cold winters and hot summers.

Because of Hampshire Garden rooms background, knowledge and experience, We will only use Iko Armourplan single ply roofing system which is far more superior than most or all other garden room companies roofing products. We are trained and licensed to purchase and install this product.

uPVC gutter and downpipe to the rear elevation which drains directly into a water butt or dispersed directly onto the garden surface.

High quality uPVC windows and doors from our trusted manufacturer. We highly recommend having at least one opening window within your office to allow for ventilation.

Internal

Internally plaster boarded and plastered to give a flawless finish.

Painted internally

Laminate flooring is the most popular choice (or vinyl, carpet or tile can also be provided)

There are lots of electrical options but the most important for an office is good lighting, plenty of sockets and of course heating

Electric panel heater is the popular choice, Smart Aircon (Heats and cools) or Underfloor heating

Note: we can also provide a quote for customers wishing to complete all or part of the internal finishing
